Jason is the owner and president of Northridge Funeral Home Ltd. He began his career in funeral services working for Arn Funeral Homes serving the communities of Dutton, Glencoe, and Alvinston. Wishing to continue his education, Jason went to Toronto and attended Humber College to become a licenced funeral director and then began working for the G.H. Hogle Funeral Homes of Etobicoke . When opportunity became available Jason returned to Elgin County and began working with Padfield Funeral Homes, serving the West Lorne and Rodney communities. After working numerous years with Padfield's, Jason made the choice to relocated to the Rainy River District of Ontario and begin his life's ambition of owning his own funeral home. Jason is always available to answer any questions you may have or concerns about your funeral needs.

Was born in Fort Frances and raised in Emo. In 1998 she and her husband moved to Georgetown, Ontario and resided there for 9 years. During this time she enrolled in the Funeral Services program at Humber College School of Technology. Before moving back to Emo, Dawn Marie completed her internship at Blake Funeral Chapel in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She graduated from Humber College and received her Ontario Funeral Director License in 2008. Dawn Marie works part time at Northridge Funeral Home and also works in the class rooms of the Rainy River District Catholic School Board.

Rhonda began working for Northridge Funeral Home in July of 2010. She is originally from Amaranth, Manitoba. She was a former municipal councilor of the RM of Alonsa, MB and operated her own business many years before moving to Ontario. She was a volunteer at the Amaranth and Area senior group.

We welcome Rhonda as part of the Northridge Funeral Home family.

Mike joined our team in January of 2025. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Bemidji State University and an Associate’s degree in Supervisory Leadership from Northwest Technical College. Mike has spent many years working in various customer service, sales, and human resource positions; from windows and doors to Ford automotive products. Mike and his wife Estelle are avid Minnesota Viking fans, and they enjoy cheering them on along with their extended family. At the funeral home, Mike’s calm and relatable manner helps guide families through a tough time in their lives. He is available to answer any questions regarding our services, and he looks forward to helping everyone who walks through our doors.

Amanda is a valued member of the Northridge office staff. Her organizational skills are often called upon to complete the various tasks in organizing and following up with funeral details.

Rachel is one of our part-time funeral assistants. Rachel is a member of Our Lady of the Way Catholic Parish in Pinewood and also is a valued member of the Catholic Woman's League. She also serves on the Our Lady of the Way Catholic Cemetery Board.

Bryce Gerber became interested in funeral service in Grade 8. After completing a career aptitude test, which suggested funeral director as a result, he knew what he wanted to pursue. Bryce shadowed a funeral director in Manitoba for a week in the summer of 2019 and started at Green funeral Home in 2020 and worked there up to its closure in 2022 and joined the Northridge team later that year. Since then, he has also gone to work at funeral establishments across eastern Ontario and the GTA including Mackinnon and Bowes in Toronto, W.G. Young Funeral Home in Stratford, Heritage Funeral Homes, for Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener and others. When he's at home in the north, Bryce is in the preparation room, on the road or at funeral services. He plans to complete his funeral director's course at Humber college this coming fall.

Funeral Assistant and stationary designer Anne began working for us in 2017. She worked for the Rainy River Record for many years until the paper was discontinued. She is a valued member of the Rainy River Knox United Church serving and volunteering in many capacities. she also sings in the community choir.

Gerry and Jackie help us part time on funerals helping to host families and friends when attending a funeral. They are often called upon to support the music portion of a funeral. Jackie plays keyboard and Gerry, guitar and both lead the singing. They are very involved in volunteering in the Fort Frances community.

Maddy is about 12 years old and has been with the Northridge staff for 8 years. She is much loved by all the staff. She is always up for a good belly rub or ear scratch and won't let you stop until she's had enough.

She is a little bothered by the new edition, Bella, but can put her in her place when she is pestered too much.

Bella joined the staff as a pup in 2025. She is always up for a pet or scratch from one office staff or another. She is often heard on one of her zoomies in the room above the funeral directors office. Her favourite squeeky toy many be heard in the background of a phone call if you are wondering what that sound is.
